Technical Support Engineer – Optical – Kent / South East  

IT Support and technical support jobs in Kent.  Zest Business Group are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer.  Reporting to the ICT Manager you will Provide continuous support and service enhancement to various Hardware and Software at various client sites both remotely and in person.  You will assist with sucessfully installing new devices and tools.  Identifing and aiding the development of new technologies that will enable improvements ordering and delivering services

This role demands someone ideally from a retail optical setting with solid IT / technical skills and be able to support, maintain and operate systems. You will work as part of a team but with the ability to take responsibility and accountability for independent work packages.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • First point of contact for incoming support queries for a range of ICT Tools.
  • Qualifying and documenting the problems raised
  • Responsible for handling support of service requests which relate to all technologies.
  • Co-ordinate installations and support queries for customers
  • Escalate issues and liaise with head office to resolve customer issues
  • Provide remote online support for customer software installations and queries.
  • Assist with preparation of devices and materials for installation within stores

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in retail optics with a broad understanding of IT infrastructure services and components including:

  • Experience within IT Sector or IT related qualifications
  • Able to install, configure, PC hardware, software, print devices
  • Experience of Windows 7,8,10, Office 365 problem-solving
  • Windows 7,8 & 10 Admin & Support
  • Experience in PC hardware and mobile device troubleshooting problem-solving

You will need to be flexible and able to travel to client sites if required, In return you will be offered a salary up to 30k dependent on experience.  Please get in contact for more information.
