Optometrist – Private Independent Opticians – Sudbury

Up to £75,000 FTE (Pro Rata) | 4 Days | Advanced Clinical Focus

Zest Optical are working with a fully private independent Opticians in Sudbury to recruit an Optometrist into a forward-thinking, clinically driven team.
This is a rare opportunity to join a practice that has built a reputation for high-level patient care, investment in technology and specialist services, including Dry Eye management and advanced macular care.

The Opportunity

• 4 days a week including alternate Saturdays
• Practice hours: 9am – 5pm (4pm finish on Saturdays)
• Salary up to £60,000 – £75,000 FTE (pro rata, depending on experience)
• 20 days holiday + birthday off + Christmas to New Year closure

You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team where patient care comes first and the environment is enjoyable to work in.

Clinical Focus

This is not a volume-driven role. The practice is set up to allow you to work to a high clinical standard:

• 45-minute testing times
• Double testing most days
• OCT and Optomap available
• Access to Valeda Light Delivery System (LDS) for Dry AMD
• Established Dry Eye clinic with advanced treatment pathways

The practice has developed specialist services in Dry Eye, offering dedicated assessment and tailored treatment plans for patients.
There is also a focus on ongoing investment in technology and clinical services, supporting Optometrists who want to expand their skillset.

• Deliver comprehensive eye examinations with a clinical focus

Requirements

• GOC registered Optometrist
• Interest in Dry Eye or specialist services preferred
• Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship available
