Optometry vacancies and Optometrist jobs based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.  Zest Optical recruitment are working with an independent Opticians based in Cheltenham to hire a part time Optometrist.

A family run group of independent Opticians based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire are looking for a part time Optometrist to work Mon, Tues and Wed.

Optometrist – Role

  • Successful independent Opticians in a prime position
  • Two testing rooms
  • Mid to high end practice
  • 30-35  min tests
  • All pre-screening done by the support team
  • Working alongside an experienced DO Manager
  • Practice equipment: Computerised Phoropter, Thompson Test Chart, NCT (Nidek tonoref III or Pulsair), Nidek RetinaScan Duo OCT, Henson Field screener
  • Trial frames and automated Phoropter
  • Contact lens work - soft, GP, Toric and multifocal
  • Myopia control
  • Air conditioned consulting room
  • Working 3 days a week, Mon, Tues and Wed (May be flexible)
  • Part time may also be considered
  • No Sundays or late night openings
  • Air conditioned consulting rooms
  • Opening times - 9am to 5.30pm

Optometrist – Package

  • Salary between £50,000 to £60,000 Pro rata
  • Bonus scheme
  • Professional fees paid
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Day off for Birthday

Optometrist – Requirements

  • Qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
  • 2 + years’ experience
  • Competent in OCT interpretation
  • Accredited or willing to become accredited for Post Cataract & Cataract referral
  • Clinically superior whilst remaining commercially competent
  • Personable
  • Patient focused
