An independent Opticians based in Wakefield are looking for a full time Optical Lab Technician/Optical Assistant. You will work 2-3 days in the lab and the rest of the time will be spent on the shop floor assisting patients.

Lab Technician – Role

  • Working as the sole glazer within the store
  • Glazing (cut, edge & fit) lenses into frames
  • Spectacle repairs
  • Liaising with suppliers and patients
  • No rimless or supra
  • Modern equipment
  • Stock control
  • Assisting with dispensing
  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Working 5 days a week
  • 9am to 5pm
  • Saturdays included
  • Salary up to £20,000

Lab Technician – Requirements

  • Previous experience of working within optics
  • Lab Technician experience
  • Excellent communication skills
