Optical Lab roles and Glazing Technician vacancies based in Athlone, Ireland. Zest Optical recruitment are working with a leading glazing lab based in Athlone to hire a full time Glazing Team Leader.

A full time Optical Glazing Technician/Team Leader is required to join a leading ophthalmic lens manufacturer based in Athlone, Ireland.

Glazing Team Leader - The Role

  • Produce finished spectacles, glazing to all levels
  • Mange a small team of 4
  • Ensure the production process runs smoothly
  • Comply with all standard operating procedures (SOPS), work instructions or procedures applicable to your role, and highlight to your line manager any areas for review
  • Reduce wastage and remakes
  • Ensuring that all tools, machinery, company property and facilities are used and maintained to the required levels.
  • To communicate and interact with your colleagues and those from other departments, and external providers in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Salary is €27,000

Glazing Team Leader - Requirements

  • Extensive optical lens knowledge
  • Excellent practical knowledge of all types of optical glazing
  • Hands on
  • An understanding of health and safety
  • Ability to work lead a team
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
