Optical Business Development Manager job in Scotland.  Zest Optical are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager for a leading manufacturer of Ophthalmic Lenses.  The purpose of this role is to build strong business relationships with customers in the independent optical market across Scotland.

The Business Development Manager will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.  

Business Development Manager – Role

  • Achieve and over achieve agreed sales targets in value within specified area
  • Achieve and over achieve agreed Active Door and Product Mix expectations
  • Provide excellent customer service to the account base through regular calls, follow up and ongoing contact to meet customer requirements
  • Prepare specific sales objectives for every sales call and execute these plans using company sales processes

Business Development Manager – Requirements

  • Dispensing Optician qualification/Optical B-2-B sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Working on own initiative to tight deadlines

Business Development Manager – Salary

  • Base salary up to £36,000
  • Excellent bonus scheme
