Optical Assistant vacancies and Optical Assistant jobs based in St Andrews, Fife. Zest Optical recruitment are working with an independent Opticians based in St Andrews to hire a full time Optical Assistant.  

A small group of independent Opticians based in Fife are looking for a full time Optical Assistant to join the team. You will work between St Andrews and another practice around 10 miles away.

Optical Assistant – Role

  • Family run independents – Optom owned
  • Well established
  • Beautiful locations
  • Loyal patient base
  • Double testing room practice
  • Act as first point of contact for patients, managing all booking and collections etc
  • Assisting with dispensing
  • Access to a wide range of frames and lenses
  • No targets
  • Working 4 or 5 days a week including Saturdays
  • Salary starting at £18,500 – Potentially more depending on experience

Optical Assistant – Requirements

  • Experience working within an optical practice
  • Must be calm, comfortable and confident at all times when talking to patients
  • Maintain the high level of customer care expected by patients of the practice
  • Interest in frames and brands
