Optical Assistant Job – High-End Independent Opticians, Harrow, North West London (HA Postcode)
Salary – £27,000 to £28,000 DOE

Zest Optical are working alongside a well-established independent Opticians based in North West London to recruit a full-time Optical Assistant.

This award-winning practice has built an excellent reputation within the local community through personalised care, clinical excellence and lasting patient relationships. Joining a small, supportive team, you will have the time to get to know patients and provide a friendly, attentive service tailored to their individual needs.

Optical Assistant – Role Highlights

  • Salary between £27,000 and £28,000, dependent on experience

  • Work in a contemporary, high-end independent practice

  • Spend quality time with patients, supporting them throughout their visit

  • Assist with frame selection and advise on suitable lens options within your experience

  • Support reception, appointment booking, collections and adjustments

  • Optix practice management system

  • Work closely with the practice Directors and a team of 4–5 professionals

  • Full-time position, including Saturdays

  • Working hours: 9:00am–5:30pm, with a 4:00pm finish on Saturdays

Optical Assistant – Requirements

  • Previous optical experience essential

  • Passionate about personalised patient care and outstanding customer service

  • Confident supporting patients with frame and lens choices

  • Comfortable with spectacle adjustments and minor repairs

  • Friendly, empathetic and professional approach

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive team player who enjoys working in an independent environment
