A patient focused independent Opticians based in Derby (4 miles from the centre)  are looking to recruit an Optical Assistant working 4 or 5 days a week. This long standing practice has gained an excellent reputation in the local area for the quality of the products and services available.

Optical Assistant - The Role

  • Progressive independent with the latest technology
  • Working between practices which offers variety
  • Spending time with each patient to understand personal requirements
  • Assisting with dispensing
  • Pre-screening
  • Reception and admin - Booking appointments, etc
  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Contact lens teaches
  • Stock management
  • Providing outstanding levels of customer service
  • Working alongside 2-3 Dispensing Opticians
  • Working 4 or 5 days a week including most Saturdays
  • Salary is typically £9.10/hr - This can be flexible
