Area Sales Manager job in South London & South Essex.  Zest Optical are currently looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager for one of Europe’s leading independent ophthalmic company’s.  This business has developed a large and complete ophthalmic pharmaceutical portfolio. This role will cover the South London and South Essex region.  

This role will involve managing and growing the OTC business in the defined territory mainly through the pharmacy industry. The successful candidate will drive sales excellence across the product portfolio. It will be important to understand the company’s ethos and be able to assimilate the spirit across the whole team as well as communicate this to customers.

Area Sales Manager – Role

  • Achieve sales Vs Target
  • Implement the strategy plan to maximise sales
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers
  • To have a full understanding of the Customer, their needs and their environment in each Key Account
  • Develop a business plan for the area to manage all aspects of the business
  • To continually assess self, including in call effectiveness skills and take appropriate action to enhance performance
  • Maintain a high standard of knowledge on products and the competition
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop and update effective promotional materials
  • To have a full understanding of the internal customers who could add value to the achievement of account objectives

Area Sales Manager – Requirements

  • Previous B-2-B optical sales experience
  • Proven record of achieving sales success
  • High level of clinical knowledge
  • Ability to present clinical data
  • Effectively analysing and utilizing data

Area Sales Manager – Salary

  • Base salary up to £45,000
  • Excellent bonus scheme
  • Company car/Car allowance
