Locum Dispensing Optician Job – Independent Opticians – Over, Cambridgeshire (Thursdays & Saturdays)

Zest Optical is working in partnership with a proudly independent opticians based in Over, Cambridgeshire, to recruit a Locum Dispensing Optician for regular shifts on Thursdays (9am–5pm) and Saturdays (9am–1pm).

This is a unique opportunity to join a modern, dispensing-only practice focused entirely on quality products and personalised service — without the pressures of testing or high-volume environments.

Locum Dispensing Optician – The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert dispensing advice and guidance to a diverse patient base.
  • Help patients choose from a well-curated range of high-quality, great-value eyewear.
  • Ensure a smooth, relaxed and enjoyable experience for all visitors to the practice.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and care in a customer-led environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Fully GOC-registered Dispensing Optician.
  • Warm, approachable and confident communicator.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a dispensing-only setting.
  • Passionate about quality eyewear and delivering a personal service.

Rates, Days & Hours

  • Competitive day rates
  • Thursdays: 9am–5pm
  • Saturdays: 9am–1pm
