€40,000 to €50,000 DOE | Full Time | Tuesday to Saturday
Zest Optical are currently working alongside a high-end independent opticians in County Mayo to recruit a qualified Dispensing Optician.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, patient-focused independent practice, working across locations in Castlebar and Ballinrobe. Working primarily from one location may also be possible for the right candidate.
The practice is looking for a knowledgeable and personable Dispensing Optician who takes pride in providing expert advice, high-quality dispensing and excellent patient care.
Dispensing Optician – Role
• Working across practices in Castlebar and Ballinrobe
• Providing expert advice on frames, lenses and lens options
• Carrying out high-quality dispensing for a wide range of prescriptions
• Advising patients on frame styling, fit and suitability
• Taking accurate measurements and ensuring the correct fitting of eyewear
• Completing adjustments, repairs and aftercare
• Supporting patients throughout their journey
• Working closely with the Optometrists and wider practice team
• Helping to maintain high clinical and customer service standards
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the practice
Dispensing Optician – Requirements
• Qualified Dispensing Optician
• Previous experience working within an optical practice
• Strong clinical and technical dispensing knowledge
• Confident advising patients on frames, lenses and complex prescriptions
• Professional, approachable and patient-focused
• Reliable and well organised
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working across Castlebar and Ballinrobe, although working primarily from one location may be possible
• Saturday availability is essential
Dispensing Optician – Working Hours
• Full-time position preferred
• Tuesday to Saturday
• Sunday and Monday off
• Some flexibility may be available around the working pattern
• Part-time applicants may also be considered
• Saturday availability is essential
