Zest Optical Recruitment are working with a highly respected independent Opticians in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, to recruit a Dispensing Optician for a full or part time position.
This is a rare opportunity to join an amazing independent practice with a strong local reputation, loyal long standing patients, and a real focus on personalised eye care. The practice is known for its attention to detail, honest advice, and relaxed but professional environment, which is reflected in excellent patient feedback and repeat business.
The role would suit a Dispensing Optician who values quality over volume and enjoys building long term relationships with patients.
Dispensing Optician Role
- Fully independent Opticians, not part of a group or chain
- Single testing room practice with a calm, unrushed feel
- Strong focus on bespoke eyewear and personalised dispensing
- High quality lenses and carefully curated frame collections
- Consultative approach with time to get things right for each patient
- Loyal, experienced team who genuinely support each other
- Practice open Monday to Friday only, no weekends
- Opening hours 9am to 5.30pm
Working pattern options
- Part time 2 to 3 days per week
- Wednesday and Friday are required
- Third day optional
- Full time candidates will also be considered
Salary and package
- £30,000 to £35,000 pro rata depending on experience
- Generous staff eyewear allowance
- Quarterly and annual bonus schemes

Dispensing Optician Requirements
- Fully qualified Dispensing Optician
- GOC registered
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for eyewear, lenses, and patient care
- Confident, friendly, and professional manner
- Team player who enjoys working in a close knit environment
