Zest Optical are working alongside a well-established independent Opticians in Leigh-on-Sea to recruit a Dispensing Optician Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable practice known for its personalised care, high-quality eyewear, and clinical excellence.

Situated in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea, this community-focused Opticians has built a strong reputation for offering outstanding service with a friendly, welcoming approach. The practice features a single testing room, offering a calm and unrushed environment, and caters to a diverse patient base.
With a beautiful boutique-style setting, patients can expect an excellent selection of independent eyewear to suit every budget and Rodenstock lenses known for their quality and innovation. The team is small, close-knit, and passionate about delivering a service that goes beyond just vision care.
Dispensing Optician Manager – Role Overview
- Lead and inspire a small team of 2-3 staff
- Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Deliver complex and high-quality dispensing
- Maintain excellent levels of customer service
- Manage stock, including frame and lens selection
- Influence business decisions such as product ranges
- Support staff development and training
- Enjoy autonomy in a supportive, relaxed environment
- Full-time position, including most Saturdays (1 in 4 Saturdays off)
- Working hours: 9am – 5.30pm (5pm on Saturdays)
Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary between £35,000 - £39,000
- Bonus scheme – 8%

Dispensing Optician Manager – Requirements
- GOC-registered Dispensing Optician
- Supervisory or managerial experience is a bonus, but not essential
- A strong passion for eyewear and independent practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong team ethic
