Optometry jobs and full or part time Optometrist vacancies in Leicester, Leicestershire.   Zest Optical recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of an independent Opticians in Leicester to hire a full or part time Optometrist.

A quality focused independent based in Leicester, Leicestershire are looking for an Optometrist to work 3, 4 or 5 days a week. Having been in the local area for over 60 years they have developed an excellent reputation for offering patients a comprehensive and personal service.  The new directors have invested significantly into modernising the practice, with more developments planned in the next 12 months.  

Role

  • Providing thorough 30 - 45 minute sight tests to patients of all ages
  • Working alongside another experienced Optometrist
  • Access to advanced retinal photography including an OCT
  • Trial frames – Upgrade available in 12 months’ time
  • Refit planned for next year
  • Fields done by the support team
  • Contact lens work
  • Working closely with the Dispensing Optician and support team to ensure a smooth handover
  • Professional Development – additional training, specialist clinics etc
  • Working 3, 4 or 5 days a week
  • 9:00 – 17:30 working hours
  • One late opening a week
  • Most Saturdays included

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
  • All levels of experience will be considered.
  • Excellent communications and organisational skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Clinically focused

Salary

  • Paying between £36,000 to £48,000 depending on experience
  • Fees paid for
