Optometry vacancies and Optical Customer Service jobs in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.  Zest Optical recruitment are seeking to recruit a Customer Service Technical Advisor on behalf of a leading Optical organisation in Dunstable.

A full time Customer Service Technical Advisor is required to work for a well-known optical lens manufacturer based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. 

You will work as part of the Customer Support Team providing technical advice to both internal colleagues and external customers across the UK.

Typical duties involve;

  • Dealing with incoming calls from customers
  • Collate all hard copy orders received
  • Input hard copy Precal customer orders onto the computer system
  • Input hard copy stock and semi-finished orders
  • Input glazing orders
  • Input other hard copy orders including tint/coat only orders
  • Maintain the audit paper trail
  • Provide optical technical advice to both customers and the customer service team.
  • Provide and maintain departmental administrative functions as directed by the CRM management team
  • Investigating and resolving customer queries
  • Dealing with queries and provide efficient support to customers

Requirements

  • Optical Experience/Advanced optical Knowledge (ideally SMC level)
  • Customer focused with excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent PC, data entry and administration skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Adaptable & flexible

This is a Monday to Friday role, working from 8.30am to 5pm

The salary on offer is between £17,000 and £22,000 plus various company benefits.
