A modern and high end independent Opticians based in Coventry, West Midlands are looking for a full time Optical Assistant to join the team.

This practice has been in local area for 25 years and currently has three consulting rooms and a team of around 9-10 people. They aim to provide patients with a unique experience in a relaxed and modern environment.  

Optical Assistant – Role

  • Being the first and last person the patient sees
  • Meeting and greeting
  • Booking appointments
  • Assisting with frame selection and dispensing
  • Taking measurements
  • Dealing with collections
  • Access to a range of high end and niche brands of frames and lenses
  • Administrative duties
  • Maintain appearance of store
  • Opportunity for development and progression
  • 5 day a week including Saturdays - 9am - 5:30pm

Optical Assistant – Requirements

  • Previous experience of working within optics
  • Patient focused
  • Must be calm, comfortable and confident at all times when talking to patients
  • Maintain the high level of customer care this practice has created

Optical Assistant – Salary

  • Between £14,000 to £18,000
  • Free Spectacles
  • Healthcare Package
