Optometry, Optical vacancies and Full Time Optical Assistant jobs in Christchurch, Dorset.  Zest Optical recruitment are currently seeking to recruit a full time Optical Assistant on behalf of an independent Opticians based in Christchurch.

A high end independent Opticians based in Christchurch, Dorset are looking to recruit a full time Optical Assistant to work 5 days a week. The practice has been established in the area for over 60 years, and focuses on offering a personalised eye care service to patients of all ages.  The appointment times are between 30-45 minutes so it’s a nice relaxed, patient focused environment.

Optical Assistant - Role

  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Dispensing frames and lenses to all levels, including varifocals
  • Brands include; Lindberg, Tom Davies, William Morris
  • Providing contact lens advice
  • Pre-screening
  • Taking measurements and making any necessary adjustments
  • Booking appointments and dealing with admin
  • Ensuring excellent levels of customer service at all times

Optical Assistant - Requirements

  • Previous experience of working as an Optical Assistant, Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant
  • Able to dispense spectacles
  • Enjoy building relationships with clients
  • Excellent communication skills: clear verbal and written communication with active listening skills
  • Able to deliver superb customer service
  • Interest in fashion, trends and brands

Salary

Between £16,000 to £18,000 plus free parking.

This would be a full time role including Saturdays with typical working hours from 9am to 5.30pm. (9am to 12.30pm on a Sat)
