Optical Assistant vacancies and full time Dispensing Optician jobs in Central London. Zest Optical recruitment are working with an independent Opticians based in Central London to hire a full time Dispensing Optician or Optical Assistant.

A brand new independent Opticians is opening in Central London (Tottenham Court Road) in October 2017 and they are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant or newly qualified Dispensing Optician to join the team.

The directors aim to create something different, offering patients a wide selection of very high end and niche products within a relaxed and professional environment.  This will be the very first store but they aim to open many more in the future.

The Role

  • Dispensing high quality frames and lenses depending on lifestyle, fashion and budget.
  • Spending time with each patient to understand personal requirements
  • Meeting and greeting patients, booking appointments
  • Working closely with the director to actively drive the business forward
  • Dealing with complex patient queries
  • Providing outstanding levels of customer service
  • Working in a friendly team of 3 people
  • Helping to grow a start up business

The Person

  • Qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC or an experienced Optical Assistant
  • Customer focused
  • Forward thinking
  • Personable
  • Attention to detail
  • Interest in Optical fashion and the latest trends
  • Self motivated

The role is to work 42.5 hours a week including weekend work and late nights on a rota basis.

The salary is between £17,000 to £23,000 depending on experience.
